Description
he plaque is a bronzed resin reproduction of the original plaster master pattern of a medal to commemorate the life of Sir Winston Churchill, 1874 – 1965. This is the reverse side which shows a lion rampant holding a sword, St. Paul’s Cathedral at the time of the Blitz and the wording WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER. As far as we are aware this is the only representation of this piece available.
285mm diameter (11 ¼”), framed. The bevelled edge frame measures 52cm x 46cm x 5cm.
